Such a lovely house. Generous easygoing host and delicious food. Great place to unwind.

Rod Watson, Manchester, UK

This magnificent villa was built by a wealthy aristocrat, who made his fortune in the early part of the last century. With acres of coconut palm trees, and contemporary British architecture, the property retained in the de Zoysa family ever since it was built in 1927, is unique on the coastline.
It has adorned the pages of many international fashion magazines and television dramas and has recently been subtly refurbished

Unique character

This property is unmatched in the south of Sri Lanka. It has been aesthetically maintained, with its large collection of original antiques and art and crafts, polished hardwood beams and plenty of open courtyards, terraces and passageways for you to relax in.

It's been a really memorable few days, a wonderful house and even better host. Thank you for your generosity. The late night conversation, sipping the best tea in Sri Lanka. It exceeded all expectations.

Rachel O Flanagan, Dublin, Ireland

The villa has the unmistakable, intimate atmosphere of a large colonial home, with the resident owner hosting your stay. The maximum of 12 guests are well looked after by the dedicated staff who are also part of the household.

Over the years our guests have enjoyed endless hours on the opulent verandah, chatting and taking in the local sights. You can watch the world pass by - the rolling ocean, the moonlit sky, village life and the passing trains bound for the city.
There are no hotels or guesthouses in the vicinity yet the famous UNESCO heritage city of Galle or the underwater paradise of Hikkaduwa beach are just a ten-minute drive either way.

Wonderful time. Wonderful people. Hope to come back soon. Sad to go.
